Creating Effective and Impactful Instructional Videos

Effective instructional videos have become an integral part of higher education, serving as the main delivery mode for many blended learning courses especially in Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). Studies have shown that videos can serve as a productive part of a student’s learning experience when they are designed to include elements that help promote student engagement.

Associate Professor Dr. Songsri Soranasathaporn
Mahidol University

Dr. Songsri Soranastaporn, is an Associate Professor in English teaching, a researcher, and course developer. She teaches English, research methodology, material development, and leadership for information and communication technology. An expert in English for Specific Purposes, Dr. Songsri is the co-founder (2008) and the secretary general of The Thai Simulation and Gaming Association (ThaiSim -www.thaisim.org). She was also on the committee and the president of The e-Learning Association of Thailand (e-LAT - www.e-lat.or.th).

Assistant Professor Dr. Adisak Nartthanarung
Mahidol University

Dr. Adisak is an orthopedic surgeon, working at the Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital Mahidol University, Thailand. Additionally, he is also a medical teacher experienced in teaching from undergraduate to postgraduate levels of the Mahidol University. He is interested in utilizing educational technology in teaching students by working with his development team to create digital learning media, maintain the faculty's e-learning system, and invent practical ways to learn, which can be applied in e-learning systems and informational technology.

Dr. Sujika Srinuntakul
Mahidol University

Dr. Sujika is the Deputy Dean for Digital Media Technology and Training Services at Mahidol University. She has over 10 years’ experience in digital video production and graphic animation at Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University. Since 2017, Dr. Sujika oversees the design and development of online courses (MOOC & SPOC) for Faculty of ICT. She has strong passion in the areas of multimedia-enhanced creative thinking, video learning objects, and visual design.
